Moving
Why is moving such a painful experience? How can something as simple as a friend moving a couple hundred miles away cause so many nights of endless tears? When someone moves away it's not like they're gone forever. It's just a temporary change that everyone gets used to eventually. Communication is not hard to maintain (especially with a good friend) these days and travel is always an option. So, why does it hurt so much when someone moves. I suppose moving is so painful because, although the person moving won't disappear, the farther that person moves away, the more you feel like you're loosing him or her. You want to maintain what you have and nobody ever wants to drift apart. Moving hurts so bad because when you love someone and they leave, it's like an unmeasurable piece of your heart is leaving along with them. Once someone leaves, your heart is no longer in one piece. The sun will come up the next morning and the birds will sing, but will your heart ever be full again? It's only logical that moving isn't the end and it shouldn't cause so much misery, but unfortunately hearts don't think logically... hearts don't think.
